Caribbean Tropical Igloo Homes (CTIH) was formed in 2007 out of the need to provide the people of the Caribbean affordable yet beautiful hurricane proof homes. We will build you the home of your dreams! A home that not only suits your needs, but one that does not take years to build. We pride ourselves in providing quality homes at affordable prices that are both unique and safe

As the hurricane season lasts from May to November, the Caribbean is battered with tropical storms, depressions and full-fledged hurricanes for half of the year. The dome homes we build makes for a “worry free” hurricane season. No more worry of how your home will hold up against a storm, the Caribbean Tropical Igloo Home is a geodesic network of structural arches created by the thick concerted seams that join the steel and fiber reinforced panels. Additionally, the dome’s exterior is a shell of continuous concrete with incredible durability with nothing to rot, rust, warp, be eaten by termites or be damaged by fungus, molds and insects. The Caribbean Tropical Igloo Home is a home for life, with little to no maintenance required. In fact, the only routine maintenance required is an occasional painting. The dome’s expanded polystyrene insulation will not shrink, deteriorate, absorb moisture or relinquish its R-value.

We have gone to great lengths to create a construction team comprised of individuals that are professional, courteous and leaders in their field. Allow us to introduce to you our team:

Directors
The Owner/Operators of CTIH have over 35 combined years of construction experience in Canada. Having worked in both residential and industrial construction they bring with them a vast knowledge of the construction industry abroad and in Jamaica

Construction Manager
Mr. Beres Rochester is an Engineer with two Engineering degrees. Residing in Jamaica, he has over 30 years of experience in Jamaica’s industrial and construction industries. Mr. Rochester is an invaluable member of the construction team and brings with him a professional aptitude that is second to none.

Sales Consultant
Mr. Livingston Green knows the housing market in Jamaica extremely well. He is a consummate professional who is excited to be introducing this unique type of home to Jamaica. Mr. Green is a long-standing member of the business community in St. Ann and brings to CTIH a vast amount of experience in real estate and the housing market on a whole.

Construction Foreman
Errol Sinclair is a man who accepts nothing less than the best work from our employees. Having recently built his own home in Jamaica, he is very knowledgeable about construction options in Jamaica and is committed to building affordable yet uniquely beautiful homes for Jamaicans.

Administration
Ms. Nadine Woodstock heads up the Administration of CTIH with both a professional aptitude and a contagious excitement for these unique homes.
