Caribbean Tropical Igloo Homes is offering dome kits to its clients in the Caribbean region. These kits are targeted for contractors and individuals who wish to have a direct input in the construction process. In most cases the dome purchaser will perform some of the work which will dramatically reduce the overall cost of the home (sweat equity). Each kit comes with a comprehensive assembly manual which will allow individuals to construct their dome with standard hand tools. CTIH offers their 100% Hurricane and Earthquake guarantee to the home owner if the assembly process and local building code are fully adhered to. Please bear in mind, the kits include all the triangle and riser components for the dome shell and entryways. All Triangular panels have Georgia pacific ¼" dens-deck wallboard on the interior surface and cement on the exterior surface. Three sets of prints are supplied with each unit. The interior walls can be constructed of either wood (2X4 Pressure treated wood framing) or traditional cement blocks. Likewise, the second floor joists can be constructed of either wood (2X8, 2X10 OR 2X12 stick framing) or can be cement cast.

Our kits do not include any of the interior walls or second floor building materials. Neither does it include windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, kitchen cabinets or bathroom cabinets.

The dome when assembled is a free standing structure of incredible strength. This allows the home owner limitless possibilities for placing bedroom, kitchen and bathroom locations. We will provide you with a standard set of floor plans that will be supplied to you at not additional cost. If changes to the stock plan are required we will change an additional fee depending on the dome size and complexity.

Onsite Construction Management services are being offered at a J$3500.00/day basis (assuming a 9AM to 5PM work day) + J$60/km travel allowance and a J$500/day housing allowance.

Please Note:

• All Dome Kits sold with 3 certified copies of blueprints and Assembly Manuel
• The prices above are for stock plans as per our planbook/website and include cupolas and skylights where indicated
• The kits include the panels for the dome shell ONLY, it does not include windows, doors, interior framing or the second floor
• Construction Advice and Management are available by our technical staff for an additional cost
• Building permit assistance is offered for an additional fee (as building permits are a requirement in Jamaica, we will not provide construction management for those individuals that do not apply for building permits)
• Double domes can have as many as 6 bedrooms with a 2 car enclosure garage.   These domes are all designed for the clients needs.   Please contact the sales office for details.

To Order:

A 50% deposit is required at the time the order is placed with the balance due in 3 to 4 weeks.   Kits will be available for pick-up at the factory in Salem, St. Ann.   Prices do not include transportation; however we will assist with transporting the kit if requested by the client.
